"Karuppu" trailer is finally released ahead of its 14 May release date

11 May - After a long wait, the official trailer of "Karuppu" is finally released.

The trailer was uploaded online on 10 May, four days before the movie's release date, and sees Suriya coming back in full force in the action-packed drama.

In the movie, the actor plays the role of a social justice warrior named Karuppu, who decides to help an old man and his granddaughter who keep getting treated with disrespect at the court for a pending case.

A memorable line from Suriya in the trailer goes, "What was that you said? Even if God shows up, court procedures can't be changed! Here I am. I am going to rip you apart!"

The director, RJ Balaji himself plays an antagonistic lawyer in the trailer.

Many took to the comments to express their happiness that the trailer is finally out, with one saying, "Finally. We got the trailer before the movie."

Another posted, "May this be a Big comeback for Suriya."
