"Krrish 4" faces setback due to financial disagreement

10 Feb - Another setback has now plagued "Krrish 4," the superhero movie that has been highly anticipated by fans of the franchise.

As reported on Sachnik, negotiations have been stalled between Hrithik Roshan and producer Aditya Chopra of Yash Raj Films, due to disagreements on its financial aspects.

The report stated that Hrithik, who is making his directorial debut via the project, envisioned a massive scale film with a budget close to Rs. 500 crores (approx. USD 55 million).

However, Yash reportedly wanted to do the movie with a budget of RS 350 crores to ensure that the movie remains financially viable.

It is believed that the project may not commence production this year as previously planned, seeing that agreement has not been reached between both parties. It was also stated that Hrithik is now reassessing the script in light of the budget limitation, and plans to explore potential collaborations with other studios that might be willing to fork out the budget he desires.

Prior to the budgeting issue, it was revealed that the movie had to delay production after Siddharth Anand departed from the project to focus on his new movie, "King".
