14 Sep - Lady Gaga and fiance Michael Polansky have recently welcomed their first child together.

A source close to the couple confirmed the news to PEOPLE following reports on 11 September of the baby's birth, stating that they "both beam when they talk about being parents" and that "Michael seems lighter, happier."

The source also added that both the 40-year-old singer and her 42-year-old entrepreneur fiance are taking the time off work this summer to focus on the baby.

It is noted that the singer has always wanted to become a mum, as she expressed in various interviews.

"I look forward to being a mum. Isn't it incredible what we can do? We can hold a human inside and grow it. Then it comes out, and it's our job to keep it alive," she said back in 2020 in an interview with InStyle.

Lady Gaga, real name Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, were first romantically linked to Polansky when they were photographed kissing at a New Year's Eve party in Las Vegas in 2020.

It was in July 2024 that the "Bad Romance" singer announced that the two are engaged.
