27 Mar - Malaysia's latest motorcycle action-romance film, "Malaikat Malam", is now showing in cinemas nationwide - a bold collaboration between four of the country's leading production companies: Viper Studios, Skop Productions, Astro Shaw, and Primeworks Studios.

At its heart, the film follows Azam (Syafiq Kyle), a street biker whose life shifts unexpectedly after he accidentally knocks down a blind girl, Ratna. What begins as a chance encounter soon unravels into a story of old vendettas, betrayal, and unavoidable reckoning. Tracie Sinidol brings quiet depth to the role of Ratna, while the film also marks the long-awaited return of Que Haidar to the silver screen - his first film since "Ophilia" in 2014 - playing fallen racer Arash.

Unlike typical 'rempit' films that lead with action alone, "Malaikat Malam" goes further, weaving in themes of loyalty, sacrifice, and the very human desire to change - despite the world's negative perception of you.

Behind the camera, the film marks the feature directorial debut of Nazifdin Nasrudin, whose previous credits as editor and writer include box-office titles "Sheriff", "Malam Terlarang", "Reversi", and "Soloz: Game of Life". Acclaimed director Syafiq Yusof lends his weight to the project as producer.

At the gala premiere held at GSC Mid Valley Megamall on 25 March, Executive Producer Datuk Dr. Yusof Haslam of Skop Productions reflected on the film's ambition, "We see 'Malaikat Malam' as an effort to elevate the motorcycle genre with a more refined approach to storytelling and filmmaking, placing emphasis on production discipline, script strength, and character development so that this film does not rely solely on action."

Co-Executive Producer and Head of Astro Shaw, Raja Jastina Raja Arshad, echoed the sentiment, "The 'rempit' genre has always held a special place in the hearts of local audiences. Through 'Malaikat Malam', we present a more relevant version; full of adrenaline, yet deeply human. We are confident it will resonate."

Be sure to watch "Malaikat Malam" - now showing in cinemas nationwide.
