McKenna Grace to play Daphne in Netflix's "Scooby-Doo" series

McKenna Grace will be the live-action Daphne after voicing the character

19 Feb - McKenna Grace is adding another franchise to her name, after she was revealed to have been cast in the Netflix live-action series of "Scooby-Doo".

The actress is set to play the role of young Daphne Blake in the eight-episode show, which will revolve around how the Mystery Inc. gang first started.

The logline read, ""During their final summer at camp, old friends Shaggy and Daphne (Grace) get embroiled in a haunting mystery surrounding a lonely lost Great Dane puppy that may have been a witness to a supernatural murder. Together with the pragmatic and scientific townie, Velma, and the strange, but ever so handsome new kid, Freddy, they set out to solve the case that is pulling each of them into a creepy nightmare that threatens to expose all of their secrets."

Scooby Doo, where are you?

It is noted that Grace previously voiced Daphne in the 2020 animated film, "Scoob!"

The actress has already starred in many franchise projects, from "Scream 7," "Paw Patrol," "Ghostbusters," to "The Hunger Games".

Sarah Michelle Gellar previously played the role in the Scooby Doo movies
