10 Feb - Michelle Yeoh is set to be the first Malaysian actress to be honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The actress, who will receive the star in the Motion Pictures category, will have the 2,836th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. The ceremony will take place on Wednesday, 18 February at 11.30 AM PT at 6927 Hollywood Boulevard.

It is noted that Michelle is already a part of the Hollywood Walk of Fame's Class of 2024, which also includes well-known names such as the late Chadwick Boseman, Kevin Feige, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Chris Meledandri, Gwen Stefani, and Toni Braxton, among others.

The star from the state of Perak began her career in Hong Kong in the 1980s before making her debut in the James Bond movie, "Tomorrow Never Dies". She had since appeared in numerous films, and won Best Actress at the Academy Awards for "Everything Everywhere All at Once".

She will next appear in the short film, "Sandiwara," helmed by Sean Baker and shot in Penang.
