16 Jan - "Sons of Anarchy" star Ryan Hurst is now officially joining the "God of War" live-action Amazon Prime series.

The actor, who also voiced the Norse god Thor in the video game "God of War: Ragnarok," will be playing a different character altogether in the movie as the titular god of war himself, Kratos.

The series will be about the two most recent "God of War" games, in which Kratos must raise his ten-year-old son Atreus.

The synopsis read, "Father and son Kratos and Atreus embark on a journey to spread the ashes of their wife and mother, Faye. Through their adventures, Kratos tries to teach his son to be a better god, while Atreus tries to teach his father how to be a better human."

Hurst was last seen on TV playing the role of Miles Elderton in the Netflix Western action drama "The Abandons".

He is also a part of the upcoming movie, "The Odyssey" from Christopher Nolan.
