22 Jul - It looks like there is no truth to previous reports that Salman Khan's "Maatrubhumi" has delayed its release date.

Following previous rumours that the movie may not be screened in 2026, the actor-producer took to social media to unveil a new poster.

The poster, which has the year 2026 written on the top right, features Salman Khan and lead actress Chitrangda Singh, with the caption reading, "A soldier's promise. A family's strength. A nation's pride."

Previously, it was rumoured that the movie would be pushed to 2027, with the delay reportedly caused by concerns raised by the Ministry of Defence over certain scenes in the movie, including references to China.

The movie previously had to change its title from "Battle of Galwan" to "Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace".

Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the film is inspired by the 2020 Galwan Valley clash, in which Indian soldiers engaged in a brutal hand-to-hand battle with Chinese troops along the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
