10 Aug - "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" continues to fly high at the box office in its second weekend, as it added more zeroes to its earnings.

The film, which opened to a record-setting USD 932 million globally, has now made USD 1.67 billion, becoming the second fastest film to reach that peak after "Avengers: Endgame".

With such success, the film may have the capacity to break USD 2 billion soon, and become the first movie to make USD 3 billion at the global box office.

The movie also has the chance to become the first film to make USD 1 billion in North America alone.

It is noted that the highest-grossing film of all time right now belongs to James Cameron's "Avatar," which made USD 2.9 billion at the box office.
