CO Movie Day: "Japanese Film Festival"

17 Sep –Films like "At River's Edge", "The Chef of South Polar", "The Great Passage" and "The Kirishima Thing" are also great additions to the Festival, but on 10 September, Cinema Online gave some lucky winners a chance to see "Ken and Mary", one of the many choices from the Japanese Film Festival.

"Ken and Mary" stars Naoto Takenaka, Hu Bing, Kie Kitano and even Malaysia's very own Zizak Razak about Kent Katakura who has been in charge of pantyhose for 25 years as a trading company employee. He lands at a tiny airport in a remote part of Malaysia, where no other airplanes make a stop. However, he must break off the engagement of his daughter, whose wedding is scheduled to take place in just two days.

Read on to find out what our winners had to say about the film!

Rahman: I rate the movie 3/5 stars. The film was hilarious and I loved Zizan Razak in it but I thought it showed racial stereotypes! It didn't really show Malaysians in a good light.

Hazwani: I rate it 4/5! The movie was interesting and it was very amusing. I liked that it was a comedy though some parts didn't really make sense! It was still very funny, nonetheless.

Japanese Film Festival will be screened until 17 September 2013 in GSC Pavilion KL, GSC Mid Valley and GSC 1 Utama. In Penang, screening dates are 19 to 22 September 2013 in GSC Gurney Plaza. In Kuching, screening dates are 26 to 29 September 2013 in GSC City One Mall and in Kota Kinabalu, screening dates are 3 to 6 October 2013 in GSC Suria Sabah Mall.
