19 Aug – Last month, TGV Cinemas and Gurney Paragon Mall announced that they were looking for their Ultimate Movie Buff. Looks like the search is over as Anand Raj Markandu has been named as the TGV Gurney Paragon Ultimate Movie Buff! The Ultimate Movie Buff Challenge concluded with the Ultimate Movie Buff Game Show which took place at the mall's atrium on 17 August 2014. Only fifteen shortlisted participants were chosen to participate in this final leg of the challenge.
Anand Raj Markandu managed to come out on top and won himself the grand prize which includes an All-Year Access pass, a brand new Mitsubishi Attrage SE and the title of TGV Gurney Paragon Ultimate Movie Buff. Meanwhile first runner-up Santhanan Venkatasen and second runner-up Oon Lee Choo Linda each walked away with a Top Gun movie pass valid for a year and a screening in the Beanie hall at their convenience. The special movie passes given to the winners are exclusively developed for them and are not available for sale to the public.
The Ultimate Movie Buff challenge was kick started on 17 July 2014 in celebration of the mall's first anniversary as well as the completion of the TGV cinema at Gurney Paragon Mall.
