The Force awakens at MBO cinemas


The "Star Wars" cosplayers at MBO Taiping Sentral last weekend.

7 Dec – In less than two weeks, the much-anticipated "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" finally arises on the big screen.

Before watching the movie, catch some cosplayers in action as they gather at selected MBO Cinemas over the coming weekends.

Get your smartphones out to take selfies with cosplayers dressed as famous characters inspired by the "Star Wars" universe.

Taking place on Saturday and Sunday, the cosplayers' appearances' details are as below:

Priced at RM49.90, the combo comes with one large popcorn (46oz), one large soft drink (22oz) and one of the Funko Pop! "Star Wars" figures (BB-8, Kylo Ren, C-3PO, Chewbacca, First Order Snowtrooper or First Order Stormtrooper) depending on their availability.

The upcoming movie is set 30 years after the events in "Return Of The Jedi", where Darth Vader had been defeated. The Rebel Alliance and the Empire have now become the Resistance and the First Order, respectively.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" opens in cinemas this 17 December.
