14 Jun – The adventure of the "Ocean's" trilogy continues in the new female-led spinoff, "Ocean's 8", opening in cinemas nationwide today. For several lucky Cinema Online readers, however, they have already watched the movie yesterday at the premiere screening held at TGV Cinemas 1 Utama. These lucky readers won the passes to watch the movie a day earlier than everyone else by joining Cinema Online's contest for "Ocean's 8".
The winners were no doubt excited to see how the movie would go. Other than it being a continuation, in a way, for the "Ocean's" franchise, it also features eight very talented actresses: Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Awkwafina and Rihanna. Anne Hathaway and Rihanna prove to have plenty of fans here but the others are no less loved, everyone was looking forward to watching all eight of the amazing cast members pull off the impossible big screen heist.
Actress Dynas Mokhtar was among Cinema Online's guests who were excited to watch "Ocean's 8". She even brought along her own little "crew" so they could all enjoy the heist comedy movie.
"Ocean's 8" follows criminal mastermind Debbie Ocean in her attempt to pull off the heist of the century at the annual Met Gala in New York this year. To do so, she and her partner-in-crime Lou Miller gather a team of the best people in the field, including jeweler Amita, street con Constance, suburban mom Tammy, hacker Nine Ball, and fashion designer Rose. Their target is the air-headed celebrity, Daphne, and her necklace, which is valued at more than USD150 million.
