Did you notice these actors in famous movies before they became big?
|
We all got to start somewhere, right? If you don't believe that one bit, then these famous actors will certainly prove you otherwise. Before these Tinsel town personalities started raking in their salaries by the millions, walking down the red carpet like royalty and perfecting that dazzling smiles for the flashing cameras, we went way back to find their very first few roles in famous movies which we didn't even realise they were in!
If you managed to spot these now famous actors while recently re-watching these old movies, then you're a pro! But don't be too hard on yourselves if you didn't, after all most of their early appearances were one of those 'blink and you miss it' roles.
Richard Armitage in "Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace"
After an accidental discovery ogling "The Hobbit" actor Richard Armitage on Google, we found that the actor's first ever movie role was as an extra, playing a Bravo Fighter Pilot in 1999's "Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace". See, Armitage standing behind Natalie Portman and another actress, which brings us to our next discovery...
Keira Knightley in "Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace"
Oh yes, not only was Richard Armitage in a "Star Wars" movie, but Keira Knightley also played a small role as Sabe', Princess Amidala's handmaiden and decoy in one of her very early roles. If you're a die-hard "Star Wars" fan, you would've already known this.
Elijah Wood in "Back to the Future II"
Before he was Frodo Baggins, "The Lord of the Rings" actor made his film debut in a scene with Michael J. Fox in "Back to the Future II". He played the part of 'Video Game Boy' and if you think he looks adorable now, he looked even cuter back then at eight years old!
Denzel Washington in "Death Wish"
We might know Denzel Washington as the most serious and most talented actors of Hollywood today, but the actor made his film debut in the 1974 movie "Death Wish" playing an uncredited street thug whose scenetime was really brief after he gets shot by Charles Bronson.
Jack Black in "Demolition Man"
One of Black's first few roles was a 'blink and you miss it' in the 1993 movie "Demolition Man". Perhaps we were too engrossed watching Sylvester Stallone, Wesley Snipes and Sandra Bullock in their fancy weapons battling it out in the year 2032, but if you look close enough you would see Black playing one of Dennis Leary's henchmen.
Alexander Skarsgard in "Zoolander"
Fangbangers may know him as vampire Eric from HBO's "True Blood", but the hunky real-life model turned actor was also in the Ben Stiller comedy, "Zoolander" as, Meekus, one of Derek Zoolander's eccentric model buddies.
Ryan Gosling in "Remember the Titans"
Hey girl, have you seen "Remember the Titans"? The actor was also adorable way back then, but you probably didn't notice him as much before he snagged your heart in "The Notebook". Gosling played a supporting role as one of the Titans opposite Denzel Washington in the sports drama.
Brad Pitt in "Less Than Zero"
Brad Pitt's character in the coming-of-age drug junkie film, "Less Than Zero" was a teeny tiny one considering how colossal his star power is now. While all attention was focused on Robert Downey Jr. and James Spader, Pitt was in the background of a house party scene and was credited only as "Partygoer/ Preppie Guy at Fight".
Ben Stiller in "Empire of the Sun"
A very young Christian Bale blew us away with his role in the Stephen Spielberg film, but also joining him for a small scene somewhere along the middle of the movie was a young Ben Stiller who played an American soldier named Dainty in his debut movie.
Megan Fox in "Bad Boys II"
If you think Megan Fox's first Michael Bay film was "Transformers", think again. The actress had a super brief uncredited role at age 15 as the 'Bikini girl dancing under waterfall' in the Will Smith and Martin Lawrence action movie.
Jackie Chan in "Enter the Dragon"
Before becoming the martial arts superstar that he is now, Jackie Chan played an extra for the original martial arts icon, Bruce Lee's film in "Enter the Dragon". See Jackie briefly, as one of the baddies who tries to fight Bruce, only to lose and get his neck snapped. Speaking of this experience recently, Jackie said filming the scene was one of his most memorable experiences, as when Bruce had accidently sent him sprawling across the floor, he rushed over to profusely apologise and then give Jackie a hug.
