"The Magnificent Seven" reveals first look

"The Magnificent Seven" has given fans its first look for the upcoming movie.

The action movie is directed by Antoine Fuqua, who also previously worked with lead Denzel Washington in 2001's "Training Day" and 2014's "The Equalizer".

Washington plays Sam Chisolm in the movie, alongside Chris Pratt, who plays Josh Farraday; Ethan Hawke as Goodnight Robicheaux; Vincent D'Onofrio as Jack Horne; Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as Vasquez; Martin Sensmeier as Red Harvest and Korean star Lee Byung-Hun portraying Billy Rocks.

The remake of John Sturges' 1960 movie by the same name, which in turn is a remake of Akira Kurosawa's 1954 "Seven Samurai", tells the story of seven mercenaries employed by the townspeople of Rose Creek, who seek their protection against industrialist Bartholomew Bogue (Peter Sarsgaard).

"The Magnificent Seven" is scheduled for release on 22 September 2016.
