3 Mar – Disney's upcoming 3D rockcumentary film "Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience" featuring the boys in their "Burning Up" 2008 summer tour, will make its debut in Malaysia this 5 March 2009. According to Walt Disney Pictures, this will be their first 3D concert film to ever release in Malaysian cinemas. The movie, only available in 3D format, will screen in the following five selected 3D available cinemas - GSC Mid Valley, TGV Sunway Pyramid, GSC 1 Utama, TGV KLCC and GSC Pavilion KL.
Released in the U.S. on 27 February 2009, the film did fairly well although not as successful as "Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best Of Both Worlds Concert Tour" which opened the previous year. Directed by Bruce Hendricks, the movie includes guest performances from Demi Lovato ("Camp Rock") and country singer Taylor Swift, with exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and off-the-wall segments - giving fans the insights into the lives of Joe, Nick and Kevin Jonas. In addition to that, it will feature two never-before-released songs, "Love Is On Its Way" and "Live To Party." Tickets for the 3-D version which includes usage of 3-D glasses will be priced as follows: GSC Mid Valley: RM17 (adult), RM11 (children) for a normal seat, twins seats RM19 (adult) each. GSC Pavilion KL: RM18 (adult), RM12 (children) for a normal seat, twins seats RM20 (adult) each. GSC 1 Utama: RM16 (adult), RM 11 (children) for a normal seat, twins seats RM 18 (adult) each. TGV KLCC and TGV Sunway Pyramid are RM5 extra charge above normal ticket price. Meanwhile, moviegoers can look forward to more 3D films scheduled to release throughout 2009 namely "Monsters Vs Aliens" (May), "Ice Age 3: Dawn Of The Dinosaurs" (July), live–action 3D movie "G-Force" (July), "Up" (Aug), "A Christmas Carol" (Dec), "Avatar" (Dec) and "Toy Story" which will be re-released in November in digital 3D format.
