"Transformers" back-to-back

25 Jun – It was a gathering not to be missed as a 'Transformers Movie Marathon' fan gathering dominated the MySciFiFan Outpost Café and Cathay Cineplexes Damansara a day before the official release of "Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen." Many movie fans flocked to the scene to catch the first transformers film scheduled at 6pm, Cathay Cineplexes Damansara to secure seats for themselves as it was on a first-come-first-served basis limit to 100 people. A choice of either a Transformers poster or car sticker was given away as a souvenir. This marathon gave excited fans the rare opportunity to experience the first film and the preview screening of the sequel back-to-back in the cinema.

Fans came adorned in "Transformers" caps and t-shirts and browsed around at the "Transformers" merchandise galore at the Outpost Café ranging from figurines, comics, to caps and t-shirts. Following the first movie screening, fans made their way to the Outpost for a robot-themed buffet consisting of Energon jelly, Devastator plasma juice, tuna and mayo sandwiches and spaghetti transformed by bolognaise or carbonara sauces. Later, the crowd was buzzing with the excitement of Bumblebee and Optimus Prime's surprise appearances and cameras clicked away as moviegoers couldn't wait strike a pose with the two icons before adjourning to the cinema hall for their "Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen" preview screening at 9.30pm.

After the two-and-a-half hour long movie which ended at 12 midnight, die-hard fans stayed longer for the lucky draw at the Outpost where three limited edition "Transformers" figurines will be given away. The prizes consisted of a "Transformers" Megatron leader action figure, "Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen" Arcee action figure, and "Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen" Sideswipe deluxe action figure. Irene was the fortunate lady of the night being the only female to win at the lucky draw taking up the grand prize of a "Transformers" Megatron leader action figure worth RM600.

Irene enthusiastically commented, "I'm so happy to have won this! Normally my brother would be the lucky one to win free goodies. But this time... not anymore! The 'Transformers' sequel was really good. It was very action packed right from the beginning. I would definitely watch this again. What can I say? I love it!"
