12 Jun – GSC Tropicana City in Tropicana City Mall, Damansara will host four days of free shows for the public as part of its test run from 20 June to 23 June prior to its official opening. Movies that will play include "Slumdog Millionaire", "Dragonball Evolution", " Race To Witch Mountain, "Confessions Of A Shopholic", "Paul Bart: Mall Cop", "Ip Man" (18SG), "Syurga Cinta" and " Aayan". Located on the second floor of the mall, the 1449-seater will open with the most anticipated blockbuster this year "Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen". With this latest addition, cinemagoers in Petaling Jaya will have a choice of 54 screens across 6 cineplexes including GSC 1Utama (13), TGV 1U (7), TGV Sunway Pyramid (12), Cathay Damansara (12), Lotus PJ State (2) and now GSC Tropicana City (8). With a lower density of shops, Tropicana City may now be an easier destination with ample parking and its complimentary shuttle bus service from the Kelana Jaya LRT station.
You can easily redeem tickets for these free shows by printing out the coupon below and producing it at the box office or cutting out any original GSC cinema listings via the newspaper and GSC website to exchange for two free tickets per coupon/clipping each, on a first-come first-served basis, while tickets last. Each person is limited to four tickets (maximum) and the redemption exercise will start from 10am, June 20, 2009 onwards. Redemption of tickets is limited to the movies on the same day of redemption.
