3 Sep – Rob Zombie's horror sequel "Halloween 2" has been banned by the Lembaga Penapisan Filem Malaysia or the National Film Censorship Board of Malaysia because it is "too violent and contains sex scenes", according to the sources within the industry. The movie opened in the U.S. last week under the R rating with "strong brutal bloody violence throughout, terror, disturbing graphic images, language, and some crude sexual content and nudity." Responses to the ban on Cinema Online's Facebook range from confusion and disappointment to anger and shock, with some blaming the authority for paving the way for local Raya movies "Jin Notti" and "Momok The Movie" instead. The earlier movie, "Halloween", comprising the same cast, screened in Malaysia back in September 2008 with heavy cuts.
