18 Dec – Hong Kong singer/actor Andy Lau and director Benny Chan ("City Under Siege") will be in Singapore on 20 January 2011 to promote upcoming Chinese blockbuster "Shaolin". Both will be attending the "Shaolin" press conference and gala premiere in Singapore, before they leave for Taiwan to continue the film's promotional tour. With a production budget of over USD$25 million, "Shaolin" tells the story of an arrogant army leader who repent and seek refuge at Shaolin after the shock betrayal by his sworn brother, who brings his army to besiege Shaolin and the monks. Directed by Benny Chan, the movie brings together Andy Lau, Nicholas Tse, Wu Jing, Fan Bing Bing, Yu Shao Qun and a special appearance by Jackie Chan. Besides starring as the leading man, Andy Lau also wrote and sang the theme song titled "Wu". "Shaolin" is slated to release in Singapore on 21 January 2011 and Malaysia on 27 January 2011.
