23 June – Amanda Seyfried removed her halo to portray a high-class prostitute in the erotic thriller "Chloe". In the film, her character Chloe is hired by Catherine Stewart (Juliane Moore) as an escort to seduce her husband (Liam Neeson) and test his loyalty.

Seyfried has been known to play family friendly roles in which includes Sophie in "Letters To Juliet" where she finds her true love, a nerdy girl by the name of Needy in "Jennifer's Body", and a bride-to-be who is trying to find her real father in "Mamma Mia!".

Seyfried told Glamour magazine that she has to kiss Megan Fox in "Jennifer's Body" and it was not very comfortable. "I had to do it again with Julianne Moore in 'Chloe' and somehow it was easier with her but it still felt really strange". But Julianne just walked in and was so professional about it - I didn't have a choice but to just, well, get into it!", explained Seyfried. Julianne Moore on the other hand has become quite a lesbian icon. She played the wife of a gay man in "Far From Heaven" and will be co-starring with Annette Bening as lesbian parents in "The Kids Are All Right".
