Endhiran for 1 Oct

20 Sep – The costliest, most widely-distributed and most hyped-over Tamil film in international cinema history has secured a worldwide release date of 1 October 2010 according to Sun Pictures.

It is reported to be releasing with 2250 prints in more than 2000 screens globally, including 300 screens outside of its native India, such as the USA, the UK, Europe, Malaysia, Singapore and Australia in its various language versions Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.


"Endhiran" stars Rajnikanth and Aishwarya Rai at Putrajaya.
"Endhiran" will be distributed by Lotus Five Star in Malaysia. Expectations for the Rajnikanth blockbuster is monstrous, especially since his last movie "Sivaji The Boss" grossed an estimate of RM 8 million in Malaysia despite technical problems with the then new digital format that caused riots across a few cinemas, including one that was set on fire by its angry patrons.

Recently, the movie's audio launch was held at Putrajaya International Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur with a great host of the movie stars and politicians in attendance.
