19 Nov – "Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows – Part 1" enjoyed a record breaking opening day in Singapore and Malaysia during the Hari Raya Haji holiday. This Part 1 of the final instalment has surpassed the opening day box office results of the previous six Harry Potter films, making it the highest opening day in the Harry Potter series ever. In Singapore, the film garnered S$650,917 on opening day, surpassing the previous highest box office opening day numbers set by "Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince" at S$458,649. "Deathly Hallows" continues with Harry, Ron and Hermione's battle against numerous threats from dangerous sides with different intentions such as Death Eaters, Snatchers, the Ministry of Magic and last but not least, Lord Voldemort. Cinema Online's "Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows – Part 1" contest winners recently attend the premiere screening at TGV Wangsa Walk Kuala Lumpur, where a handful of Harry Potter characters mingled with the Muggles (on-magical people) on site.
