12 Oct – British R&B singer-songwriter Jay Sean recently came down to Malaysia for a special performance at the 'Showdown Of Champions - A Night Of Aces' at Melawati Stadium, Shah Alam, where Cinema Online caught up with the 29-year-old singer to talk about his relationship with Bollywood beauty Priyanka Chopra and if he's keen to pursue acting.
Best known for his hits singles "Down" and "Do You Remember", Jay earlier this year made a surprise visit to Priyanka's "Anjaana Anjaani" film shoot in New York, while he was in the U.S. promoting his album "All Or Nothing". The two have been good friends since they first met at Jay's Hyderabad concert in 2008, where Priyanka has been reported to be a big fan of his music. Since then, Jay has been quite eager to get Priyanka in his music video, following the footsteps of Bollywood starlet Bipasha Basu who starred in his hit music track, "Stolen" in 2004.
Jay commented, "I definitely want her involved. When it comes to Priyanka, I want to do something with her you know – work, work I mean (laughs). She's a dear friend and she's very talented. Whatever it is, we'll try to work something out."
When asked if he has watched Priyanka's recently released Hindi romance "Anjaana Anjaani", he shyly admits, "No, not yet. I haven't got a chance. She (Priyanka) keeps winding me up about that. But I'll watch it." He also showed interest in venturing into the movie scene by stating, "Yeah, it's going to happen. I'm going to do that soon enough."
