26 Oct – According to distributor Festive Films, "The Kids Are Alright" has been postponed from 4 November 2010 to an early 2011 release in Singapore due to censorship issues surrounding the controversial lesbian subject. Online critics also revealed that the lesbian-marriage comedy bears explicit sexual scenes where one takes place between two women in the act at the same time watching gay porn, while the other is heterosexual.
Written and directed by Lisa Cholodenko, Julianne Moore and Annette Bening star as the lesbian couple whose teenage kids want to meet their sperm donor dad (Mike Ruffalo). Also featuring Mia Wasikowska of "Alice in Wonderland" fame and Josh Hutcherson of "Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant", the movie has yet to find a release in Malaysia.
Recently in New York, "The Kids Are All Right" was announced to compete in two major categories at the Gotham Independent Film Awards, including Best Feature and Best Ensemble Performance. The 20th anniversary awards, which this year features a new public prize, will be handed out in New York on 29 November.
"The Kids Are All Right" is slated for release early 2011!
