22 Sept – "Legend Of The Fist: The Return Of Chen Zhen", another anticipated movie by renowned director Andrew Lau ("Infernal Affairs", "Initial D"), stars Donnie Yen ("Ip Man", "Flash Point") and Shu Qi ("City Under Siege", "Look For A Star"). The movie tells of martial artist Chen Zhen (Donnie Yen) returning to Shanghai after seven years, disguising as another person. He infiltrates the Japanese Army through the help of a mafia boss, but falls in love with a cabaret singer (Shu Qi), who is also a spy serving the Japanese Army.
In a recent interview, Donnie Yen has stated that he would only accept 'good guy roles'. From Ip Man to Chen Zhen, he will also be playing Kwan Gong and Sun Wukong in future projects, the press wondered if he would choose evil roles such as an undercover cop or a baddie. "Why can't I only portray heroic characters? I wouldn't accept an immoral role just for the sake of a challenge. For me as an actor, it is our obligation to convey positive messages through the films we make. As long as it's a positive role, then I would gladly accept." Meanwhile, GSC reminds moviegoers that the movie is rated '18'.
