10 May – Last weekend's chart topper "Iron Man 2" successfully maintains box office crown over Mother's Day weekend, dominating over martial arts sequel "Ip Man 2" for the second time in Malaysia and Singapore. Meanwhile, the iron proves still hot in the United States as it blazed to No. 1 over the weekend with an estimated US$133.6 million for the fifth-biggest opening of all time behind "Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest", according to Box Office Mojo. As observed in Cinema Online's "Hot Movie Checks", "Iron Man 2" remains in peek position, followed by "Ip Man 2", "Ice Kacang Puppy Love", "Furry Vengeance" and "The Losers". Starring Robert Downey Jr., "Iron Man 2" box office takings made the third-biggest superhero-movie debut of all time, behind leader "The Dark Knight", which opened to US$158 million in 2008, and runner-up "Spider-Man 3", which bowed to US$151 million in 2007.
