4 Oct – As "The Lion King" in 3D release dropped two places to the third spot last weekend, another family-oriented drama titled "Dolphin Tale" took first place, raking in US $37 million thus far, as the Brad Pitt starring baseball flick, "Moneyball", remained at second place again at the North American box office for the weekend just gone (29 Sep – 2 Oct), according to online tracker, Box Office Mojo.
In Malaysia, "Johnny English Reborn" seems to not budge from the top spot as it took first place again, while Jet Li's latest movie, "The Sorcerer And The Whitesnake", opened up at second place leaving the Shaheizy Sam, Yana Samsudin and Intan Ladyana movie, "Bini-Biniku Gangster", to finally end "Nasi Lemak 2.0's" streak at the third place as it takes over it at the local box office for the weekend just gone. Similarly, Singapore too seemed to enjoy "Johnny English Reborn" as it dominates the top spot yet again, while Jackie Chan's 100th movie, "1911", opened up at second place, leaving the Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis starring comedy "Friends With Benefits", to helm third place at the local box office for the weekend just gone. Other new releases and sneak shows last week in Malaysia include "Muran", "Vedi", "Force", "Killer Elite", "Dream House", "Speedy Singhs", "Vaagai Sooda Vaa" and "Kuntilanak Kesurupan". In Singapore, other new releases and sneak shows last week include "Force", "Dolphin Tale", "Mausam", "Colombiana", "Attack The Block", "Love In Between" and "Lights Out".
