"Petaling Street Warriors" Full Trailer Lands

24 Oct – A full-length trailer for "Petaling Street Warriors" has finally premiered on YouTube, with a minute of additional footage, which means more action, humour and more importantly, more background information for the Namewee movie.

Hot on the heels of his last movie, "Nasi Lemak 2.0", "Petaling Street Warriors" is Wee Meng Chee's, or, as he is commonly known, Namewee, second venture into the filmmaking industry. Singaporean actor-comedian, Mark Lee stars as the lead, a Hokkien mee seller who has a lost treasure map linked to the Qing Dynasty and becomes hunted by assassins, eager for the treasure.

Despite the controversy surrounding the budding filmmaker, the hype for the upcoming action-comedy is still present, as evidenced by the 47,093 views and counting, for the YouTube video as of 24 October 2011. In addition, 383 people have liked the video, stating their interest in the movie's unconventional script.

"Petaling Street Warriors" will be distributed by Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) in Malaysia on 1 Dec this year. The movie will play out in Cantonese, accompanied by Malay and English subtitles. On the other hand, the movie will be distributed by Shaw in Singapore on 29 Dec this year, with Mandarin dialogue, accompanied by English subtitles.
