11 Oct – Hugh Jackman's latest film, the robot action family drama "Real Steel" made its debut at first place last weekend as it managed to rake in US $27.3 million, leaving the George Clooney and Ryan Gosling starring "Ideas Of March", also a newcomer on the list, to debut at second place with US $10.4. "Dolphin Tale" which enjoyed first place last weekend, now helms the third spot at the North American box office for the weekend just gone (6 Oct – 9 Oct), according to online tracker, Box Office Mojo.
In Malaysia, local movie "Al-Hijab" starring Pierre Andre ended "Johnny English Reborn's" streak at first place, as the latter moved to the third spot last week, allowing the Orlando Bloom and Mila Jovovich starring, "The Three Musketeers", to debut at second place at the local box office for the weekend just gone. Similar to US, Singapore too saw "Real Steel" debut at first place, while Jet Li's "The Sorcerer And The White Snake", took second place pushing "Johnny English Reborn" who previously helmed the top spot, to drop to third place at the local box office for the weekend just gone. Other new releases and sneak shows last week in Malaysia include "Sathurangam", "Rascals", "Vellore Mavattam", "Troll Hunter" and "The Cat: Two Eyes That See Death". In Singapore, other new releases and sneak shows last week include "Speedy Singhs", "The Change-Up", "Wake Wood", "The Conspirator", "The Greatest Movie Ever Sold", "Shark Night" and "From Me To You".
