16 Aug – "Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes" manages to hold its ground in North America grossing US $105 million in its second week, while Emma Stone's "The Help" manages to debut at a decent second place, leaving 'Death' to make his move early for sinking "Final Destination 5", as it opens up at a weak third spot making the sequel labelled with the worst opening among its predecessors for the weekend just gone (11 - 14 August), according to online tracker Box Office Mojo. In Malaysia however, "Cowboys And Aliens" managed to ride to first place, while "Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes" quickly lost its momentum falling down to the second spot, leaving Adam Sandler's Happy Madison produced film "Zookeeper", opening in third place at the local box office. Singapore too saw "Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes" losing its dominion at the top spot to second place, as Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford's "Cowboys And Aliens" managed to topple over the apes. "Zookeeper" also debuted last week in Singapore, but similarly opened up to a disappointing third place at the local box office for the weekend just gone. Other new releases and sneak shows last week in Malaysia include "Rowthiram", "Arakshan", "Horrible Bosses", "It's A Great Great World", "Garuda" and "The Fortune Buddies". In Singapore, other new releases and sneak shows last week include "My Patisserie", "Womb" and "The Fortune Buddies".
