Norton cast as "Bourne" baddie

15 Jul – Edward Norton ("Fight Club") is apparently in the final stages of talks to play villain to Jeremy Renner's character in "The Bourne Legacy", according to a report by Variety.

Edward Norton popular for his roles in suspense thriller movies "American History X", "Primal Fear" and "Fight Club", might be joining the cast of "The Bourne Legacy".

Helmed by Tony Gilroy, director of the previous three "Bourne" films, the spin-off will also star Rachel Weisz.

Though all involved have been tight-lipped, it's believed the film will not feature Matt Damon's Jason Bourne character. Instead, Renner will play a fellow assassin trained in the CIA's Operation Treadstone, with Norton as his nemesis.

This will be Norton's first role in a high-profile action movie since 2008's "The Incredible Hulk", which received mixed reviews.

Norton, is currently filming Wes Anderson's "Moonrise Kingdom" with Bruce Willis, Frances McDormand, and Owen Wilson.
