Alex Pettyfer at a recent "Beastly" promo event

4 March – It seems to be that Hollywood has found its new leading bad boy as "Beastly" start Alex Pettyfer apparently was uninvited to a pre-Oscars party last weekend and might even be dropped from his agency due to his recent erratic behavior, Us Magazine and PopEater reported.

Pettyfer, 20, recently split from his "I Am Number Four" co-star Dianna Agron, 24, last month and reportedly flew into a jealous rage on 18 February at a West Hollywood club and in addition, reports have surfaced claiming the actor has become something of a 'loose cannon' since the split.

All of the recent negativity surrounding Pettyfer has put Hollywood's gatekeepers on edge. He was advised not to attend a pre-Oscars bash.

"His agents told him not to go to the 26 February Night Before party," a source told Us Magazine and interesting enough, Agron ended up attending the star-studded event and was spotted flirting with actor Chris Evans.

The same source also mentioned the actor's instability and recent actions may put his career on the line, and his agents are considering letting him go.

A rep at William Morris, however, claims he is "still a client."

"Beastly" is a modern re-telling of "Beauty And The Beast" classic which involves a spoilt, vain and handsome rich boy Kyle Kingston (Alex Pettyfer) who gets cursed by a witch and he has to find true love within a year to break the spell or risk staying hideous forever.

Cinema Online's "Beastly" guests recently got the opportunity to catch the heart-warming romance in "Beastly" at Cathay e@Curve. After the screening, we asked some of our viewers what they thought of the movie overall and how many stars would they rate it out of 5.

Azrina Jamaludin: "A moderately good movie suitable for youngsters. 2.5 stars."

Ira: "Good storyline. Nice chick flick but on-screen chemistry was off between the leads. They tried too hard. 2.5 stars."

"Beastly" will be showing at cinemas in Malaysia starting 5 March 2011.
