30 Nov – It is a busy week for the stars of "Magic To Win", Raymond Wong and Wu Chun, as well as the movie's director, Wilson Yip for they recently attended promotional events for their movie at JW Mariott Hotel and Berjaya Times Square in Kuala Lumpur recently. The press conference saw revelations of whether the stars have been to Malaysia before, future plans for the movie, as well as narrative and casting inspirations. For Brunei-born Taiwanese actor-singer Wu Chun, "Being in Malaysia is like being home. When I first stepped out of the plane onto Malaysian soil, I told my manager that I wanted to eat nasi lemak, char kuey teow, and popiah."
The 32-year-old also expressed that he was elated to be able to work with Hong Kong actor-producer Raymond Wong, who starred in the movie "Happy Ghost". "Happy Ghost" was the reason for Wong's first visit to Malaysia. "Since we got a good response about the movie and we really enjoyed producing it, we are planning to continue "Magic To Win" as a series", said 63-year-old Wong. The choice to cast Wong and Wu Chun was mostly based on intuition on Wilson's part, however, the acclaimed director of "SPL" and the "Ip Man" series have worked together with Wong for a long time. Wilson explained that Wong wanted to make a movie similar to "Happy Ghost", so he called Wilson in to be the director, to which the latter agreed because he was impressed by the idea.
