29 Jul – Fans of Salman Khan may be eager to watch him in action, but the Bollywood star's latest movie, "Ek Tha Tiger", which will be released in the coming Aidilfitri worldwide, seems to be deeply engulfed in controversies. Previously, the Pakistani government had raised their objections as they accused the film for depicting the Pakistani government intelligence, ISI, in a negative manner. Trailers and reviews of the film that centres on espionage and national security in Pakistan have already been banned from the country, despite Salman having a huge fan base there. Presently, it's a person named Vikram Vashishta who has an issue. According to Masala, Vikram saw the trailers and claimed the promos to be very similar to the real-life story of his late uncle, Ravindra Kaushik, who happened to be a spy working for the Indian government and was sent to Pakistan. The uncanny resemblance has become a major concern for Vikram as he sent a legal notice to the Yash Raj Films production company, including a demand for a viewing of the original film script or the film's private screening before its release on the upcoming 15 August. Copies of the legal notice have also been sent to Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) as well as the Film & TV Producers Guild and Film Federation of India. As the controversies are starting to make less sense, one really wonders if it's really a case of genuine concern or someone merely seeking publicity. Perhaps for a free private screening. Either way, we wish the casts and crews of "Ek Tha Tiger" the best of luck in making this film a hit!
