Ferrell & Neeson for "Lego" movie

Liam Neeson and Will Ferrell are set to join the film "Lego: The Piece Of Resistance".

13 Nov – Considering the popularity of the Lego franchise, it is hardly surprising that Warner Bros has announced that they will be producing a live-action/CGI film titled "Lego: The Piece Of Resistance" in 2014 and it has been officially revealed that "Blades Of Glory" star Will Ferrell and "Taken 2" star Liam Neeson will be lending their voices for the film, according to Empire Online.

The film's narrative follows an ordinary Lego mini-figure named Emmet who does not have a creative bone in his body, thereby making him an 'instructions worker'. As it turns out, in LEGO city, it is illegal to build apart from the instructions, but one day, Emmet finds out that he is actually a descendant from powerful individuals called 'Master Builders' and he has been charged with saving the universe from being frozen together by an evil tyrant. Chris Pratt, who is known for portraying baseball player Scott Hatteberg in the film "Moneyball", voices Emmet.

Ferrell, 45, is set to voice the central villain President Business, while Neeson will play his powerful henchman Bad Cop in the directorial feature by "21 Jump Street" and "Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs" co-directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller.

Besides the presence of heavyweights Ferrell and Neeson, "Lego" The Piece Of Resistance" also features "The Men Who Stares At Goats" actor Nick Offerman, who voices a swaggering pirate seeking revenge from President Business, "Community" actress Allison Brie, Elizabeth Banks and Morgan Freeman.

Will Ferrell will reprise his role as Ron Burgundy in the sequel "Anchorman: The Legend Continues".

Ferrell will next be seen in Adam McKay's 2013 comedy "Anchorman: The Legend Continues", alongside the original cast of "Anchorman", which includes Christina Applegate, Paul Rudd, David Koechner and Steve Carell.
