6 Oct – With production of "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" set to begin in March next year, directors Joe and Anthony Russo are eagerly searching for an actress to play the female lead in the sequel, according to ComingSoon. Deadline reported that there are five actresses that are being screen tested to play the new love interest of Chris Evans' Captain America. They are Australian star Teresa Palmer ("I Am Number Four"), Alison Brie ("Community"), Jessica Brown Findlay ("Downtown Abbey"), Emilia Clarke ("Game of Thrones") and Imogen Poots ("Fright Night").
In addition, it was reported that Scarlett Johansson will join the Captain by reprising her role as the femme fatale Black Widow instead of appearing in "Iron Man 3" alongside Robert Downey Jr. "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" will place Steve Rogers in the modern world, where he struggles to adapt while serving in Nick Fury's S.H.I.E.L.D. as Captain America. The film will hit theatres worldwide in April 2014.
