More Jackie Chan death hoaxes

Jackie Chan has fell victim to death hoaxes for god knows how many times already.

2 Aug – World renowned star Jackie Chan is the latest victim of an online celebrity death hoax. The "Breaking News" that claimed the star died after a deadly stunt, has been spreading like wildfire on various social media sites.

The culprits this time are Facebook spammers who are utilizing a Facebook app allowing them to create fake death reports about the legendary actor. The death hoax started from a Facebook page called "R.I.P. Jackie Chan", which has close to a million likes.

A particular message reads "Hollywood Breaking News – Jackie Chan died after perfecting a deadly stunt. Jackie Chan falls from a building of 12 floors. C.S.I. are currently investigating. Watch the original video of the deadly stunt and their effort to save Jackie Chan. (for 18 years and above)."

One of the fake news reports posted on Facebook.

The Facebook scammers are creating these fake news reports in hopes to lure online users to click on the seemingly legitimate link. Once Facebook users clicked on the link, the scammers will be able to hack into their Facebook profiles and post messages on their timeline.

On a lighter note, Jackie's 101st film "CZ12" will be premiering on Celestial Movies this Sunday at 9pm.
