8 Dec – It was reported that Oscar-winning actress, Marcia Gay Harden has been cast in the controversial adaptation of E.L. James' best-selling erotic novel, "50 Shades of Grey". As reported on The Wrap, the actress will star as Dr. Grace Trevelyan Grey, the adoptive paediatrician mother of the highly successful but extremely tortured billionaire, Christian. The "Magic in the Moonlight" star will be joining other cast members including Eloise Mumford as Kate, Luke Grimes and singer Rita Ora as Christian's siblings Elliott and Mia, Victor Rasuk as Jose, Jennifer Ehle as Anastasia's mother Carla, and Max Martini as Jason.
The movie, currently shooting in Vancouver and directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson of "Nowhere Boy" fame, also stars Dakota Johnson as lead protagonist Anastasia Steele, and "Once Upon a Time" star, Jamie Dornan as the titular role of Christian Grey. Back in October, Dornan replaced Charlie Hunnam after the latter withdrawn from the movie, citing tight "Sons of Anarchy" schedule as the reason of departure.
