12 Aug – Despite the mixed reviews, the successful run of "Now You See Me" in box offices, which led to USD 233 million in grosses worldwide, has ensured that the caper thriller film will be getting a sequel. The movie, which was released earlier this year, starred Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher and Dave Franco as four gifted magicians who form a group known as The Four Horsemen, after they were brought together by a mysterious benefactor and they plan a series of daring heists. Jon Feltheimer, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Lionsgate announced that the company has plans to start shooting the sequel as early as 2014.
However, there is still no information on whether the production company has recruited a writer for the screenplay and whether director Louis Leterrier will return to direct. It is also yet not known if the original ensemble cast will to reprise their roles.
