Muhammad Redha's entry has been disqualified by Yahoo-MAS Cili Padi Awards.

27 Nov – Yesterday, the winner for the Yahoo-MAS Cili Padi Awards 2013 was announced to be mechanical engineer student Muhammad Redha Bin Ampuani's entry titled "Accepted", but unfortunately, it has been disqualified due to its similarities with the video titled "One Step Forward", which was uploaded on Vimeo two years ago.

"One Step Forward" is an entry shortlisted for the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner and winner of the 48 Hour Film Project: Boston that depicts a proposal in reverse. There are too many elements for both videos have in common to be a coincidence, such as the male lead plunging into a water source, pouring wine, playing chess, cartwheeling and opening a bottle of fizz, which led Yahoo Malaysia to disqualify Muhammad Redha's entry.

As a result, "Sly", which came in second place earlier, was declared the winner while "Tiger" was moved up to second place. Meanwhile, "Life" by Dan Khoo has been selected as the new second-runner up.
