10 Nov – With "Gone Girl" making a huge splash in the cinemas, it shows that books by Gillian Flynn are worth the money to be adapted onto the big screens. "Dark Places" is the next Gillian Flynn novel to be adapted and, according to Variety, American indie distributor A24 along with DirecTV, an American direct broadcast satellite service provider and broadcaster, has acquired all U.S rights to the upcoming movie. Charlize Theron stars as Libby Day in the movie, who as a child witnessed the massacre of her mother and sisters. She testified against her own brother in court, believing the massacre was caused by a satanic cult. Years later, she is forced to unearth the painful memories of her childhood as a secret society of amateur investigators believes her brother is innocent and is intend on solving the crime. Chloe Grace Moretz, Christina Hendricks, Nicholas Hoult, Corey Stoll and Tye Sheridan also star in "Dark Places". Gilles Paquet-Brenner wrote the adaptation and directed the movie. "Dark Places" is slated for release in North America early 2015. Theron can also be seen on the silver screen next year in post-apocalyptic action film, "Mad Max: Fury Road".
