31 Dec – Aaron Aziz, actor and director of upcoming film "Romeo Kota", hopes that his directorial debut will be accepted by moviegoers as well as the film industry, even though this is his first time entering the film directing world. According to Aaron, he was given the chance to direct the action film when producer Ahmad Idham offered the director role to him. "It all started when I was given an acting role in the film. Little did I expect, Ahmad Idham would offer me the directing role as well. Alhamdulillah, it was a blessing for me." "When offered the chance to direct, I did not hesitate to accept it. It was a big opportunity for me, seeing that I myself have always been interested in directing a feature film," said Aaron, during the premiere of "Romeo Kota" at Cathay Cineplex, eCurve, yesterday. Aaron, who hails from Singapore, not only has the skills and talent in acting, but also in directing. He has directed several tele-movies before as well as music videos. "I've done some directing before so I know the pressure that I'll be getting myself under when directing a film, especially when you're entrusted fully with its production. I am prepared for any criticism for the film, be it good or bad." The actor added that the filming process was made easier because of the cast's team spirit and the guidance from Ahmad Idham. "Romeo Kota", featuring an ensemble cast of talents like Nabil Ahmad, Hanis Zalikha, Sofi Jikan, Fizo Omar and more, is set to hit the big screens on 8 January 2015,
