25 Oct – The annual Tokyo International Film Festival this year is officially on, following the grand world premiere of Disney's "Big Hero 6" and with guests from the showbiz industry from all over the world gracing the red carpet. With a special nod towards animation this year, the opening film "Big Hero 6" was chosen to kick-start the festival due to its significant Japanese elements. The film is retitled as "Baymax" in Japan. Among the guests of the evening were Japanese animator Hideaki Anno, Disney's principal creative advisor John Lasseter, executive vice president Andrew Millstein, along with "Big Hero 6" directors Don Hall and Chris Williams, who were joined by the robotic character from the film, Baymax.
