20 Jun – After getting injured by a garage door from the "Star Wars: Episode VII" set, it was reported by ABC News that Harrison Ford's surgery has been a success and he is now making his recovery. A statement from Ford's publicist, Ina Treciokas revealed that Ford had broken his leg after he sustained a terrible ankle injury from the accident at Pinewood Studios U.K. Treciokas added, "His surgery was successful and he will begin rehab shortly. He's doing well and looks forward to returning to work." The 71-year-old actor is reprising his role as the iconic character, Hans Solo in the latest installment of the "Star Wars' franchise, "Star Wars: Episode VII".
Earlier on Disney had also released a statement confirming that shooting will continue as planned while Ford recuperates. Ford will join the original cast from the "Star Wars" trilogy Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill alongside the new cast addition; John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, and Adam Driver for "Star Wars: Episode VII" due December 2015.
