11 Apr –Jackie Chan will return for the sequel of the 2010 remake, "The Karate Kid". The action superstar will be reprising his role as a down-on-luck Kung Fu master-turned-maintenance man, Mr. Han for the sequel, after Sony Pictures finally decided on a new director to helm the project. The movie, which was originally helmed by Norwegian director Harald Zwart, will now be directed by Breck Eisner of "The Crazies" fame. Aside from Jackie Chan, 16-year-old actor Jaden Smith will also return as the lead character, Dre Parker. In the previous "Karate Kid", Jaden played a 12-year-old Detroit boy who relocates to Beijing with his mother, only to be bullied due to his friendship with a young violinist. He then turns to Mr. Han, a maintenance man who is secretly a Kung Fu master who teaches him the art of defence. However, aside from the new director and the two lead stars, no filming and release dates have been announced yet.
