6 Jun – It has been quiet since Chris Hemsworth came to town to shoot a thriller directed by Michael Mann about a year ago, but now there is a glimpse on the finished product that also comes with a possibly new title. Filmosphere and cast member Holt McCallany have Tweeted two photos from Mann's latest cyber thriller that went by the title as "Cyber" then. However, in the Tweet from McCallany, the photo was hastagged with the name "BlackHat", which suggests that the movie could now helm another name when it hits cinemas. Universal has not confirmed the new title and deemed both stills to be unofficial, while their marketing team still decides which photos to go with and which title would work best. So in the meantime, this is the latest there is about "Cyber" or "Black Hat" (both are hacking related terms), but more details should start to emerge really soon if it still aims for its 16 January 2015 release date.
Officially, "Cyber"/"Black Hat" would be about a furloughed convict who works with American and Chinese authorities to hunt down an international cybercriminal network, that will take them to places in Chicago, Los Angeles, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong and Jakarta. It stars Chris Hemsworth, Viola Davis, Tang Wei, Wang Leehom, and Holt McCallany.
