Donnie Yen fights his way to the top of the Malaysian and Singaporean box office charts!

4 Nov – Hong Kong action film, "Kung Fu Jungle" climbed to the top for last weekend's box office chart for 30 October to 2 November 2014 at Malaysia and Singapore in its opening week while horror film, "Ouija" stays in first place for the second week now at the U.S. box office chart.

In U.S., "Ouija" still managed to possess the top spot for the second week running with a gross of over USD10.7 million, however, the newly released crime thriller starring Jake Gyllenhaal, "Nightcrawler", came in at a very close second with a collection of over USD10.4 million last weekend.

The Brad Pitt war drama, "Fury" remains at third place for the second week in a row having grossed USD8.8 million over the weekend.

Over in Malaysia, the Hong Kong action thriller film, "Kung Fu Jungle" which stars Donnie Yen made its debut at first place for last weekend's box office standing.

In the meantime, "Ouija" and "Sifu Vs Vampire" took the second and third place respectively for the second week running in Malaysia.

Looks like "Ouija" still haunts the people in U.S. over the Halloween weekend.

Moving on to Singapore, last week's champion "Fury" was kicked off to second place by "Kung Fu Jungle" who also claimed first place at Singapore in its opening week, while the 3D animated comedy, "The Book of Life" lands third place.

Also opening in Malaysia last week are movies; "The Cage", "Anak Jantan", "The Best Offer", "Stations of the Cross", "The Symmetry of the Butterfly", "The Hunt", "Before I Go to Sleep", "Jappeloup", "In Between Worlds", "Nightcrawler" and "Tenderness".

Other new movies that opened in Singapore last week are; "My Geeky Nerdy Buddy", "Love, Rosie", "SX Tape", "Mourning Grave" and "Horns".
