12 Dec – DreamWorks Animation studio has decided to push the release date of "Kung Fu Panda 3", the third film from the "Kung Fu Panda" franchise, to a later date in order to avoid competition with J.J. Abrams' "Star Wars: The Force Awakens". According to Deadline, since the seventh instalment of "Star Wars" is scheduled for release in North American cinemas on 18 December 2015, "Kung Fu Panda 3" will be changed from 23 December 2015 to 18 March 2016. "Kung Fu Panda is one of DWA's most treasured properties, and we want to make sure it is positioned where it has the best chance to reach the broadest audience," said Fox President of Domestic Distribution Chris Aronson. "Kung Fu Panda 3" is directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson and stars a talented line-up of voice cast which includes Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Lucy Liu, Seth Rogen, Jackie Chan, David Cross, Rebel Wilson, Bryan Cranston and Mads Mikkelsen. The last "Kung Fu Panda" movie, 2011's "Kung Fu Panda 2", collected a total of USD6.0 million in Malaysia and a worldwide collection of USD665.7 million.
