11 Jan – Though the late Paul Walker's movie projects seemed to be booming with options before he passed away, movie executives are now trying to find replacements to take on what Walker was set to do. Particularly, two of the new projects have already found itself new lead actors including "Hitman" reboot "Agent 47" and another one of Nicolas Sparks' romances "The Best of Me". Reportedly, Fox is looking at "Homeland" star Rupert Friend to take Walker's place as the lead hitman in their upcoming re-adaptation of the bestselling video game.
As for the Nicolas Sparks love novel adaptation, James Marsden has been offered the lead in "The Best of Me" opposite Michelle Monaghan. "The Best of Me" is about Dawson Cole, a high school senior who is abused by his family, and Amanda Collier, a girl who has lots of money. They fall in love but are banned from being together.
Walker would have aced the "Agent 47" role and would have easily turned it into a bigger franchise and a role in romance instead of action would have showcased more of his talent. Though neither Marsden nor Friend have had the same level of popularity as Paul Walker did, they're still interesting choices and we're keen to see how these new films will turn out.
